Source Citation Policy

Our strict rules for citing primary government authority sources.

1. Mandatory Proximity Citations

We do not bury citations in aggregated footer lists. When specific requirements, fee schedules, plan submittal formats, or operating hours are presented, the supporting primary source link is displayed directly beside the fact.

2. Acceptable Government Domains

We accept citations exclusively from official sources:

  • Primary `.gov` and `.us` municipal and county government domains.
  • Official municipal code publishers operating under municipal contract (Municode, eCode360).
  • State licensing boards and departmental registers.

3. Non-Government Disclaimers

Every page displaying official departmental links includes a clear disclosure stating that AllPermitSearch is an independent informational service and is not affiliated with the government entity.
